Hypothyroidism
The thyroid gland (located in the front of the throat) releases hormones that control how fast chemical functions work (metabolic rate). The thyroid hormones help control how you burn calories, your heart rate, and temperature among many other functions. Hypothyroidism (low thyroid function) means your thyroid isn’t making enough thyroid hormones. Hypothyroidism is common among older women as well. Hashimoto thyroiditis is the most common cause. Symptoms include feeling tired, sluggish, with intolerance to cold. Blood tests including TSH, T4, Free T4 and T3 are commonly ordered as well as parathyroid studies (another gland located on the outer quadrants of the thyroid gland itself). We can help by refilling your medications (synthroid, levothyroxine, etc) or helping you manage your dosing with the previously mentioned blood tests (ordered and obtained at your local lab).
Most visits are between 5 to 10 minutes based on complexity. Your online visit is kept efficient so you can save time and money instead of driving and waiting for an appointment. You may receive a new prescription or refill if appropriate. We electronically submit this shortly after your visit.
There are no hidden fees for our service. We keep our costs affordable so that you can better cover any outside medically related fees that may be necessary for treatment (with or without insurance) after the visit.
Telemedicine has been around since the 1980’s and has vastly improved since then. We treat you based on your history and symptoms, physical / visual presentation and overall condition. We are able to provide a diagnosis with a high degree of accuracy and provide follow up visits by secure messaging or further visits to ensure effectiveness of your treatment.

The Service is continually under development, and we reserve the right to revise or remove any part of this Agreement or the Service in our sole discretion at any time and without prior notice. If you disagree with this Agreement or any terms or conditions herein, your sole remedy is to discontinue your use of the Service. Your continued use after a change to this Agreement has been posted constitutes your acceptance of this Agreement as modified by such changes.
If you have any trouble obtaining your prescription from your pharmacy after Kansas-TeleHealth.com has submitted a prescription, please contact us immediately so that we are able to choose another nearby pharmacy or lab.
If you complete a consultation with a Provider and fill a prescription through your local pharmacy, you will be responsible for picking up or otherwise obtaining the prescription product and paying the pharmacy directly for the cost of the prescription product.
Depending on the seriousness of your condition, an online Service may not be the most appropriate option. The Provider may determine that your diagnosis or treatment requires an in-person office visit with another local Provider who is not affiliated with Kansas-Telehealth.com.
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how KsHealth.Care :: Kansas-Telehealth.com LLC (“KansasTelehealth”) collects and uses information through our online interfaces (e.g., websites and mobile applications),

We use industry standard physical, technical and administrative security measures and safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information stored within the encrypted databases we control or manage. However, since the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot guarantee, ensure, or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit to us. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information. This Site and Services are not intended for and are not directed to residents outside the state of Kansas. By using and accessing our Site, users who reside or are located in other states in the USA or countries outside of the United States will not be allowed to utilize our telehealth or medical services.

The Service is available only to Users who have registered and have been granted accounts with usernames and passwords. You agree to accurately maintain and update any information about yourself that you have provided to Kansas-Telehealth.com. If you do not keep such information current, or fail to submit truthful, accurate and complete information, or we have reasonable grounds to suspect as much, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account and your use of the Service.
